Jean-Luc Godard and Anna meet with director Carl Dreyer at the Paris premiere of Dreyer’s film Gertrud, December 1964. Godard used a clip from Dreyer’s 1928 film The Passion of Joan of Arc in one of Vivre sa vie’s pivotal scenes.
